Would like to know more! If the Tucson Wildfife Center is opening up a new hospital, then thats important news. The Wildlife Center is a great cause. They came to my house once to rescu a poisoned owl.

Go to http://www.Tucsonwildlife.com to learn more. This will be a historic event in that this will be the first state-of-the-art wildlife hospital built in Arizona. They do great things out there!

Thanks all of you for the data!! As I stated the Wildlife Center came to my house after I called when an owl fell into my yard. He was disoriented and quite ill. (My Scottish Terrier found him but kept his distance!) We called them and they came out with a team to recover him/her. They found out that someone in the neighborhood had left out poison for some rodents. The owl ate the rodent and the damage was done. We were informed later that the owl was saved and re-released. When the team left our house with the owl we gave them a check for a donation. We wish it could have been more.
I will encourage all of the T/C readers to support these folks. Those of you who read the T/C know Fraser007 as a hard case SOB. But for this group I am a sensitive person. They do a lot of good for the animals that we impact on. Donate!

Thanks for your story Fraser007. I saw a lot of rescued birds there today, including several owls. And there must have been lots more rescued & released.

Attended the groundbreaking today and got to see “Wilbur” the bobcat up close being fed raw venison meat, plus raccoons, coatis, coyotes, various species of birds. Call them for a private tour, but they usually take animals to schools to teach children to respect & care about injured wildlife.
