This year, Gulliver, a beloved Clydesdale, can’t come to “A Very Special Horse Event” because he has outgrown his travel trailer. But don’t worry as there are still other horses to meet and fall in love with.
One such horse is Pirate, a mini equine mascot who will be strutting his stuff along with his trainer Carol Grubb. Pirate came to Equine Voices in 2010 after being bred and later adopted by a family for their younger children. As with so many animals like Pirate, he was the collateral damage of a fractured family. Pirate he lost his home, and was looking for refuge, sanctuary, and a permanent place he could call home.
Short of a minor eye injury, Pirate arrived at Equine Voices in good health, and has woven his small body and big heart into every person that meets him.
Pirate celebrated his 28th birthday on December 28, 2012, and will forever live his life with the larger equines including Gulliver.
The event has something for all ages; no dogs please. Children under 7 years of age are free.
