It’s a busy time for pet rescues. Get out there and support some of these organizations whether through donations, volunteering, foster care, or adoption.

Join TNR enthusiast & Hermitage volunteer Linda Dills to learn all you need to know to help control the cat population in Pima County. Classes are $10 each. Space is limited. Fundraiser benefiting Arizona Greyhound Rescue – The cost of $20 includes dinner, dessert, soda + raffle ticket; also silent auction and raffle items on hand. Halloween fashion show by Buffalo Exchange. Costumes available for purchase. Meet available dogs. All money goes directly to the sight hounds. AGR places sight hounds in forever homes and companion programs such as service dogs, therapy dogs and emotional support dogs. Our focus is paring there trained dogs with veterans. Vegetarian sauce and gluten free pasta are available. Please state dietary restrictions when purchasing tickets online (see website)

Photo: Dixie is a sweet Chihuahua mix was rescued from Pima Animal Control after being brought there to be euthanized. Probably her owners could not afford the dental work she was in desperate need of. That has been taken care of and this 15 year old girl is healthy and happy and ready to go. She is very loving and still has plenty of energy. She is available for adoption at Hope Animal Shelter.
