Tucson Gem Show – Animal Causes, Bracelets, Meteorites
Monday, February 4th, 2013Some folks at the Tucson Gem Show are helping animal rescues. Now that’s a jewel of an idea.
The Purse Museum located at The Tucson Bead Show from Feb. 5 – 10 at Windmill Suites will be selling Beading Divas to the Rescue bracelets for Operation Greyhound.
The greyhound rescue in San Diego takes in retired racing greyhounds from both Tucson Greyhound Park and Caliente Greyhound Racetrack. The Purse Museum is also collecting beads for the Bead Drive 2013. Bracelets are one-of-a-kind made with donated beads; all bracelets cost $20 and the charity receives the entire $20.
Tucson Citizen blogger and the renowned Meteorite Man Geoff Notkin is holding a raffle for Hope Animal Shelter. Aerolite Meteorites is pleased to announce the 2013 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show charity raffle. 100% of all ticket sales (less any PayPal/credit card fees) will go directly to two of his favorite non-profits; HOPE Animal Shelter and Challenger Space Center Arizona. You can buy raffle tickets at the Aerolite exhibit at Tucson Electric Park or online. Prizes include rare meteorites and assorted scientific gear.
