A word about Tucson Cold Wet Noses — they rock! I heard through the dog rescue grapevine that in May 2013, 48 dogs were adopted. That’s simply fabulous! Their meet & greet and foster care volunteers go above and beyond most pet rescues. Cold Wet Noses pulls their pets from Pima Animal Care (PACC) and some other “kill” shelters.
Today on Facebook, CWN is trying to raise $140 so a dog in the Pinal County pound can be spapyed. If the dog — Lady — is spayed she can go to events. If Lady can go to meet & greet events, she has a much better chance of finding her forever home.
Lady is a brown & tan Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd mix, approximately 10 years young. Tucson Cold Wet Noses is collecting donations and will give $140 to the Pinal County pound so that Lady can be neutered and hopefully be adopted. If 14 people each gave $10 each — what a wonderful world it might be for Lady.
Here’s Paypal on Home Page – be sure to put in the special instructions box that your contribution is for Lady’s spay/Pinal. Thank you

Deaf Dog at PACC
Urgent: Options are needed for Custer who was at PACC before and returned about a month ago because he needed more attention and training than his adopter could provide (understandable, as he wasn’t labeled as “deaf” when initially adopted).
Custer gets little to no attention at PACC and has had no interested parties. Custer is a social, happy Dalmatian mix but with no local options. He lived with a single person, gets along with other dogs, is housebroken. He is described as sweet and gentle. Is there anyone reading Tucson Tails blog who has experience with training and caring for a deaf dog, or is willing to learn, or a rescue group who will take a special needs deaf dog? Let this not be Custer’s last stand.
10 Year Old Puppy
Henry (A436771) may be 10, but he’s a puppy at heart! He loves to play chase and hangout. He needs to be on a diet, loves to be brushed, and just oozes unconditional love. He can go home with you now for only $15. Senior dogs are the best! (PACC)
P.S. Cold Wet Noses currently has 135 dogs in foster care! Yikes! Think about them when adopting a dog.
