If you ever thought about your dog doing pet therapy and helping at-risk children, check out Gabriel’s Angels
From the press release
Gabriel’s Angels Southern Arizona program is holding information sessions this summer for community members wishing to learn more about supporting Gabriel’s Angels work with at-risk children as a Therapy Team or Helping Hand.
Gabriel’s Angels serves 13,000 abused, neglected and at-risk children in Arizona through the application of innovative pet therapy. The program’s goal is to increase the overall sense of well-being and happiness for children in a safe environment, and to build critical core behaviors among these children, such as trust, empathy, respect, tolerance and self-esteem.
You can attend one of three sessions on Tues., July 23, Thurs., Aug. 29 or Mon., Sept. 16 at the Dusenberry-River Library, 5605 E. River Rd., Tucson, from 6 pm to about 7:30 pm. This general information session will outline the program and steps needed to become a Gabriel’s Angels Therapy Team or Helping Hand. Seating is limited. Please register for the sessions online.
Please note: WE LOVE YOUR DOG BUT THEY DO NOT ATTEND THESE SESSIONS!
