A benefit for HEART of Tucson Horse Rescue happens on Sunday August 25 from 6 to 10 pm at The Maverick, located at 6622 E. Tanque Verde Road.
The Maverick is donating the entire space, a Western nightclub. The bar & food service is no-host.
Two bands will be there for your listening and dancing enjoyment: John Coinman plays country folk rock and Beau Renfro & Clear Country is a country dance band.
People will be encouraged to share stories about Judy Glore who died a few months ago. There will be a video of Judy and HEART.
The cover charge is $10/pp and along with entertainment, lots of silent auction and raffle items to take home.
Currently, HEART of Tucson has 24 horses.They are trying to find homes for the more adoptable horses so they can have space to rescue more.
Mark Glore, Judy’s husband has taken over as President of HEART of Tucson to keep Judy’s dream alive.
You are encouraged to come out and listen to good music, buy raffle tickets, and meet some friendly horse people.
HEART of Tucson’s goal is to rehabilitate rescued horses and then find suitable homes for these equines.
