Tucson: Rescued Hoarded Cats Ready for Adoption

Monday, July 25th, 2011
Hoarded cat now needs home in Tucson

Ready for the good life

Thanks to the generosity of many compassionate donors, a number of the cats that were rescued from the hoarded situation are ready for adoption.

The cats have been checked out medically, vaccinated for rabies and respiratory disease, tested for feline leukemia, and micro-chipped. Dental care and other minor surgery has been completed.

These cats are being shown at PetSmart (Grant/Swan location) on Wednesday afternoons at the HOPE adoption site. There is a $90 donation which will enable continuous care for the remaining cats who require assisted living.

The cats are sweet and loving and deserve a second chance for a better life.

Come and meet Ellie, Rocky, Barkley, Apple, and Orange.

The two women who are making a difference for these hoarded cats are Karen Wood and Barbara Crummitt of Feline Ink/Last Resort.

GREYHOUNDS-2-GO Adoptions

Meet Rosie. She is a petite 4 1/2 year old female who weighs a mere 54 pounds. Rosie is really almost all white with only a little fawn around her face. It would be best that Rosie go to a home without small animals or cats. Her first step was to retire from racing life, now it’s time for her forever home. Currently she is in foster care. Greyhounds make great pets. Perhaps her new best friend is reading this now?

THE LAST RESORT
Call Barbara – (520) 795-1312 if you’re interested in these cats or other hoarded cats. The adoption fee is $50.

A few weeks ago I reported about how two women are making a difference in the lives of 40 cats that survived a terrible hoarding situation. These two women — Karen & Barbara — continue to make strides in finding low cost care for these cats and now some are ready to be adopted. Here are a few of the cats:
