Tucson: Paws for the Holidays – Nov. 23, 24 – Let it snow!

from the press release

Pet lovers now have two chances to kick off the season with their four-legged friends. The Humane Society of Southern Arizona invites all families and pets to the Paws for the Holidays celebration from 5-7:30 pm Nov. 23 and 24 at La Encantada Shopping Center, at Campbell Avenue and Skyline Drive.

The party is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit with your family and pets. Santa will be making a special appearance. For only $10, your furry babies – and the not-so-furry babies, too – can have their pictures taken with the jolly old elf. All money will directly benefit the HSSA’s homeless animals. There will also be hot chocolate, live music, free holiday kids’ crafts and a magical enchanted snowfall to get everyone in the spirit!

There will also be adoptable cuties and merchandise on site at the PAWSH store at La Encantada, on the upper level above Crate and Barrel.

Check out Tucson’s premier holiday party for pet lovers.

Pepe the plump Pinscher arrived at the HSSA in desperate need of some tough love. Weighing in at over 27 pounds, Pepe had trouble getting around and frequently ran out of breath. After a few months of proper exercise and measured meals in a loving foster home, Pepe now weighs 15 pounds! Not only is his waistline shrinking, but Pepe acts like a whole new dog. With pep in his step and a tiny tail that can actually wag, Pepe looks forward to autumn adventures with a new best friend/personal trainer. And did we mention how marvelous he is!? Pepe gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats and kids. Plus, he’s house trained, mellow and well-mannered. All Pepe wants is someone to scoop him up and make him their beloved companion. Could you be the one to give this snuggly senior a second chance?)
