Nowhere near Tucson but blissful news that needs to be announced:

Panama passed a law which completely bans bullfighting across the country. The legislation is the first in the world to explicitly ban all forms of bullfighting, from the traditional Spanish corrida to the deceptively titled “bloodless” Portuguese-style bullfighting.

But wait…there’s more good news…

The new legislation also bans dog fighting, greyhound racing and hare coursing. It also almost completely bans the use of animals in circuses, having introduced strong regulations which would make it extremely difficult for circuses to continue to use animals as part of their performances.
