Beading Divas to the Rescue is thrilled to be fundraising for SAFE (Saving Animals from Euthanasia) during the month of December.
SAFE is completely foster based for the dogs and about 75 cats live in a rental house. A cat who had been sheltered there since 2008 was recently adopted.
According to their website, they also rehome dogs and cats from Ft. Huachuca soldiers who must leave behind when deployed to the Middle East. Otherwise, these pets would go to a kill shelter.
Monthly costs include approximately $3,000 for the cats’ rent, food, utilities, cleaning, supplies, etc. Veterinarian bills fluctuate from $2,000 to $5,000 per month.
- There was a water leak in the cat house and they had to take up the wood floor. SAFE would like to replace the floor in the kitchen and hallway.
- Desperately seeking a plumber to donate some time to help with the water/pipe problems in the cat house.
- Ongoing canned food for cats, kitten chow
- Cheap disposable toys for the cats
- Litter crystals to put in the clay litter to keep the smell down.
- The biggest wish is for more fosters and volunteers to help.
