PAWSitively Cats benefits from some fundraising events this month. Check them out:
Saturday – July 13
Hub Restaurant & Creamery in Downtown Tucson hosts ScoopFest from 4 to 10 pm in their rear parking lot. If you have not tasted Hub’s handmade ice cream yet — you’re in for a delicious trip. (Karyn’s favorite flavors are salted caramel and honey ginger and my good friend Noni D. likes the bourbon brittle.) Scoops are $3/each and $1 of every sale benefits several Tucson charities including the cats.
Eat ice cream for the cats!
Location: 266 E. Congress St. – parking in rear
And while you’re down there (it’s also 2nd Saturday) and you work up an appetite for more than ice cream, Hub’s sister restaurant/bar — the Playground — raises the bar on bar food.
Sunday – July 28
Purrfect Storm Monsoon Celebration
Wine Tasting – 4 to 6 pm
CataVinos Wine Shoppe hosts a wine tasting benefit for PAWSitively CATS No-Kill Shelter. Enjoy 6 wines + appetizers for $20 ($10 tax deductible), fun-to-be-with cat lovers, and raffle prizes, including a cute Solar Cat garden sculpture. CataVinos is located at 3063 N. Alvernon Way in Tucson. RSVP to 323-3063. Donations of Friskies paté canned food and scoopable litter can be brought to the event.
