Half price adoptions, music, food, and prizes

Spring into Action with the Humane Society of Southern Arizona at our largest ever weekend long adoption event. The national ASPCA Mega Match-A-Thon is March 30 – April 1. Take advantage of half price adoptions at all adoption locations:

• The shelter located at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716, 327-6088
• PAWSH at La Encantada and Park Place
• HSSA Thrift Store (Saturday only) – 5311 E. Speedway Blvd.
• Petsmart store at Orange Grove & Thornydale -  10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Petsmart store at I-19 & Irvington – Friday & Saturday only – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The goal is to adopt out 175 animals!  All adopters have the chance to win the latest iPad!  The raffle also includes two tickets to Live Theatre Workshop.  

Schedule of Events:
•     Friday: The Mega Match-A-Thon kicks off at the shelter with extended hours Friday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Enjoy half price adoptions, food, vendors, a DJ, raffle and dip into the duck pond for a chance at a free adoption.

•     Saturday: Saturday’s focus is at the HSSA Thrift store located at 5311 E. Speedway Blvd. There will be half price adoptions and 50 percent off bulk clothing. .Something Sweet will donate a portion of sales with mention of the business. The shelter will have extended hours 11- 8 p.m.

•     Sunday: Event at La Encantada with adoptions in the Rose Garden. Open Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday noon- 6 p.m. Vendors include: Cindy Guare Art, Diane Crenshaw Art, Nancy Williams Pottery, Sue Betanzos Art, Lucky Buck Art, Camp Bow Wow, Lanae McDade Art, Chrystal Canyon Creations, Danuta Jakubowski, Jennifer Carr Art, Fine Art America , Linda Bennett, and Foster Care from HSSA. Shelter open noon – 5 p.m.

Courtesy of Pet Edge all dogs will go home with a Casual Canine® Adopt Dog Collar and Casual Canine® Adopt Dog Lead. For cats Pet Edge has donated Clean Go Pet® Litter Pans. Cats will also get a collar and litter box scoop.
