Wishlist: Tucson Wildlife Center

During these economically trying times 501(c)3 charities are fighting to stay afloat. Here in Tucson, we are privy to a very special place which rescues, rehabilitates, and releases (when possible) wildlife — bobcats, javelinas, coyotes, owls, pelicans, wild birds, eagles, raccoons, etc.

The most amazing concept about Tucson Wildlife Center is that it’s all volunteer — including the veterinarians and orthopedic surgeons who donate their valuable professional time.

TWC services include an emergency helpline operating 24/7, capture and transportation of injured animals, 24-hour emergency room, volunteer DVM on call, rehabiliation, release, and education. All services are provided free to the public.

Like any non-profit organization, donations and volunteers are key to their survival. But if you cannot afford to give money and/or time, the next best thing is to see what is on the “wishlist.” You just might have a case in your garage or will remember to pick up some bargains on your next visit to the big box store.
