About

I am a Tucson native and descendant of an Arizona pioneer who walked from New York to California pushing a wheel barrow. He ended up falling in love with and becoming one of the first settlers in southern Arizona. He married into a Mexican family that had been here much earlier. My deep roots enhance my big love for this area.
I am a former Tucson Citizen “My Tucson” writer and have written articles for print and online publications including DiabeticMommy.com, a site I created and maintain.
I share my perspective as a Tucson mom to a little human, critters, a garden and a man who calls himself husband. I am also a diabetic, cactus-hugger, and pop-culture lover.
