The student section is indeed a mystery. Looks great before kickoff, looks empty by the 4th quarter. I saw the replay and the late-game overhead shots looked really bad. The fans who stayed to the end were really loud though. Hopefully a full-game mindset spreads as RichRod builds things on the field.

Great rundown Scott as always. Your satirical yet informative approach puts one on the scene in a meaningful, lasting way. If I could give you an assignment it would be this: Please find out why it is the crowd — many of them students (?!) — are leaving with so much time (and action) left…

Seeing UA DB No. 5 giving chase is nothing new, and neither is watching a Cat D that can’t put pressure on the QB. Both these things are going to have to change and quickly if the Cats are going to have a chance.

If Toledo was made out to look like ‘Bama, one can only imagine what Okla St may end up looking like…Green Bay? Here’s hoping the Cats fix at least the penalties and TOs. Those are mental mistakes and they’re under their control.
