I don’t get to a lot of Arizona Wildcats basketball games. I live and die with the Cats via television but taking in a game live is a rare treat.

Last week’s win against Bryant was my first trip to McKale this year. I couldn’t help but notice how much advertising has crept into the flow of the game. If revenue is needed that badly it makes me wonder:

Is it time for the University of Arizona to sell stadium naming rights?

It was a sad weekend for Wildcat Universe. The start of the Gonzaga game was bad enough but Cat fans also had to come to terms with the fact that the Arizona State football coaching search had come to an end.

It’s like watching the circus leave town after a long, entertaining run.

This Month in the Pac-12, 2011-2012 bowl TV schedule: Oregon needs to win the Rose Bowl

It’s going to be a different holiday season for the Arizona Wildcats.

Three years isn’t long in the grand scheme of bowl things but it was the second-longest active streak in the old Pac-10 and holiday traveling was a welcome addition to the life of UA football fans.

We’ll have to get by on watching other teams play in bowl games, and this year the Granddaddy of Them All is by far the biggest one as far as Oregon and the rest of the Pac-12 is concerned.

Ejected: Pac-12 football coach turnover highest in a decade

Mike Stoops isn’t alone any more.

The Arizona Wildcats football coach was fired on October 10. Since then we’ve been watching the rest of the Pac-12 to see if any other coaches would join him.

The hot seat proved to be especially cruel in 2011.

Pass the Torch: Nick Foles cements legacy as one of Pac-12’s best quarterbacks ever

Nick Foles’ place as the best quarterback in Arizona Wildcats history was already secure. He was already a tremendous leader and teammate.

What the last couple games of Foles’ college career did was enhance his status as one of the best to ever play the position in this conference.
