After two weeks of Pac-12 basketball it wasn’t a shock that only one team still had a perfect conference record. It was a surprise that the one team was Colorado.

But then you realize the Buffaloes are the only Pac-12 school that played the first two weekends at home.

That changes this week as Colorado hits the road while the other four teams in the top half of the league return home. Will there be a new conference leader when the final buzzer sounds Sunday night?

It’s going to be a different holiday season for the Arizona Wildcats.

Three years isn’t long in the grand scheme of bowl things but it was the second-longest active streak in the old Pac-10 and holiday traveling was a welcome addition to the life of UA football fans.

We’ll have to get by on watching other teams play in bowl games, and this year the Granddaddy of Them All is by far the biggest one as far as Oregon and the rest of the Pac-12 is concerned.

It’s the Game of the Century, West Coast edition!

Last week was all about Louisiana State and Alabama in the SEC. This week the Pac-12’s two best teams get their turn in the spotlight.

(Well, the portion of the spotlight not glaring on Penn State. I don’t blame anyone who doesn’t feel like watching college football this weekend.)

Alabama still has numbers on its helmets. Oregon has as many different helmets as there are numbers.

Stanford is an academic giant. LSU can’t spell “Go.”

Les Miles eats grass. Chip Kelly’s players possess grass.

Yep, Cardinal v. Ducks will be just like Crimson Tide v. Tigers…but with touchdowns.

Get ready for the heaviest weekend of Pac-12 football action to date!

Of course, the Pac-12 is only three weeks old but TWIT-Pac is very pleased that we’ll be able to continue saying “Pac-12” for at least another year.

Three teams are on a bye week and one team is playing out of conference but everyone else is facing a Pac-12 foe. By the time Saturday comes to an end everybody but Colorado and Washington State will have played at least one conference game.

The good news is there are five matchups involving Pac-12 teams on Saturday. The bad news is you’re going to have to be really nimble with your remote control thumb if you want to watch more than two of them.

Oh, and the Arizona Wildcats are playing a top-10 team. Again.
