The brackets are done and the initial outrage concerning the Pac-12’s poor seeds has been released. All that’s left now is to do something about it.

The Arizona Wildcats have gotten to this point with a collection of players filling varying roles. To make March great, however, they’ll need two senior leaders to be closers.

Territorial Joy: Arizona Basketball rediscovers fun against ASU

Senior Day went about as well as possible for the Arizona Wildcats basketball team. The Cats had a 15-point halftime lead, built it up to as much as 23, emptied the bench and let the departing players enjoy one last ovation in front of the McKale Center crowd.

The Wildcats had an extra hop in their collective step and found a long-lost gear in their transition game. It all added up to Arizona having fun again, which is just what was needed with tournament play about to begin.

The final week of the regular season is here and UCLA, Oregon and Cal all have a shot at the Pac-12 championship. One is the favorite, one needs a tough road win and one needs some help.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Wildcats are playing for rivalry pride, tournament seeding and their seniors.

Perfect Script: Surprising weekend puts Arizona back in Pac-12 race

Whoever ordered the Arizona Wildcats’ basketball weekend did not hold back. Two UA wins, two Oregon losses, and a side of ASU giving up 96 points. To say the week went well is a sizable understatement.

Arizona’s two-game leap in the Pac-12 standings puts the Cats right back in the middle of the conference race.

And that makes me very wrong.

New Year’s Goal: Perfect start gives Arizona Basketball shot at top tournament seed

The 2012 portion of the 2012-13 college basketball season is complete and the Arizona Wildcats have done nothing but win.

They may soon have to replace the McKale Center roof because it’s time to raise this team’s ceiling.
