The RPI no longer matters. Neither do the polls. Throw out conference records, strength of schedule and any other metrics under the summer sun.

The 2012 NCAA baseball tournament is here and all that matters is beating the team in the other dugout. The Arizona Wildcats and the rest of the Pac-12 will attempt to do just that starting today.

College football’s postseason future will soon be decided and everyone has an opinion on the best format. There’s the model endorsed by the Big Ten commissioner, the format preferred by the SEC’s strongest coaches, and variations in between.

As an admittedly biased citizen in Pac-12 country let me make this very clear: The SEC model is best.

Just not the SEC model they’re talking about.

The 2012 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament begins today and there isn’t a single lock for an NCAA at-large bid. We can’t guarantee the games will be dramatic but they will definitely be intense.
