The Pac-12 baseball season is five weeks old and up to this point there has been a head-to-head battle for 1st place every single week. Finally, the three leaders of the Pac get a couple weeks away from each other.

The Arizona Wildcats, Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins all hope to keep pace with each other and create some separation with the rest of the league.

Another home series, another challenger to the Arizona Wildcats’ perch atop the Pac-12 baseball standings.

The UA has lost three straight non-conference games (and four of five) but the Cats will be going for their fifth consecutive Pac-12 series win when they host UCLA at Hi Corbett Field starting tonight.

This Week in the Pac-12, Mar. 30: Arizona faces championship-caliber showdown with Stanford

It has been 20 years since the Arizona Wildcats baseball team hosted an NCAA tournament regional. That’s also the last time the UA won a conference championship.

When the Cats run out onto Hi Corbett Field this weekend to take on the Stanford Cardinal, the home team will have the opportunity to make that first goal seem incomplete without the second one.

This Week in the Pac-12, Mar. 23: Arizona Baseball takes on first-place Oregon State

The Arizona Wildcats baseball team is suddenly scuffling after losing two midweek home games to unranked New Mexico State. The good news is the Pac-12 standings didn’t change with the upsets so the Cats could still end up in first place this week with a series win at Oregon State.
