Watch out for space aliens
by Hugh Holub on Jul. 26, 2010, under humor
There have been posts recently about UFO sightings over China.
So what’s going on?
Is China doing something more interesting than the United States as far as space aliens are concerned?
Are we so concerned about illegal aliens crossing our national border on the ground that no one is looking up to spot the space aliens entering United States airspace illegally?
China at least doesn’t have the problem of people trying to sneak into China. They’re headed the other way.
I’ve often wondered why space aliens would care that much about what is going on any given night on Planet Earth…unless they were making sure we weren’t a danger to the rest of the universe. If they could travel between star systems, there might not be much for them to learn here.
Then again, they might need coal, oil or other natural resources and they’re prospecting.
Meanwhile, we’ve been broadcasting radio signals and television signals into space for decades. Anybody out there at least 60 light years from Earth knows we’re here making a lot of noise. Lord knows how many inhabited planets are now getting the Lone Ranger radio show and I Love Lucy tv signals. And the area grows by 186,000 miles a second outward.
Imagine an interstellar civilization 40 light years away receiving our signals and getting worried that the quality of the broadcasts seems to be declining. Could the extra terrestrials be the ultimate tv critics?
Maybe we should not broadcast any entertainment to the skies, and provide everything via cable and satellite systems.
Our planet is lit up pretty brightly now at night with the glow of all our cities. Aliens 20 or 30 light years out could see this lighted area of the night side of our planet growing…sort of like bacteria. Might scare the heck out of them.
Given how fast China has been growing lately, one could imagine ETs wanting to check that out.
Are undocumented workers crossing our border our biggest national security threat? Or should we be spending more time and money watching the skies just in case we will have illegal entry of our country from space.
Arizona needs to pass a new version of Sb 1070 banning space aliens from landing in the state.

What the Chinese saw was one of their own missle tests or one of our recon vehicles. Maybe Russian recon vehicle.
