Wise producing series of YouTube videos on his post-UA journey
by Javier Morales on Apr. 20, 2010, under SportsNic Wise is producing a series of YouTube videos that document his pursuit for a professional career
Former UA point guard Nic Wise recently produced his first in a series of YouTube videos that allow his family, friends and fans to follow his journey into professional basketball.
“I’ve been through a crazy four years at the University of Arizona,” Wise said near the end of his first video. “I know I have a lot of fan support. I’ve been asked every day, ‘Where do you think you are going to end up? What are you doing to try to get there? Who’s coaching you? Who’s helping you? Who’s your agent? …’
“So I’m kind of doing this for all of you too so you all can kind of follow me and my journey to where I’m gonna end up.”
The video series is titled “College to Pros” and the first video includes highlights of his playing days, mostly from the 2008-09 season with Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill as teammates. Maybe Wise missed having the tights and headband this past season?
Midway through the video, Wise mentions the documentary was produced in part to let young players understand the process it takes to go from college to the professional level.
The video also shows his workouts at the Impact Basketball training facility in Las Vegas on April 4, before he headed to the Portsmouth Invitational. The next video will document his experience in Portsmouth.
