Cook to reschedule visit to Arizona; Allen to tour campus Mondayby Javier Morales on Jun. 06, 2010, under Sports
Hyattesville (Md.) DeMatha High School point guard Quinn Cook told me tonight that he will have to reschedule his unofficial visit to Tucson tomorrow because of travel problems related to his mentor and AAU coach.
His coach was scheduled to fly to Tucson from Washington, D.C., to meet Cook, who participated this weekend in the Pangos All-America Camp in Long Beach, Calif. However, the coach missed his flight and Cook called the UA coaching staff Sunday morning to reschedule the visit.
“That’s right,” Cook said when asked if the visit had to be rescheduled. “I just boarded the plane, and I’m headed back to D.C.”
He then had to end the phone call.
Cook is a Five-Star recruit, according to Rivals.com. He is rated the No. 20 prospect overall among Class of 2011 prospects. The Wildcats have offered him a scholarship along with a host of others, including local schools Georgetown and Maryland.
Arizona should still have a visitor on Monday: Rosco Allen, a Class of 2012 small forward from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman. Allen should be one of the highest rated at his position by the time he is a senior. He is also being heavily recruited by ASU, BYU, Northwestern, UNLV, Santa Clara, USC and Washington State.
