Sweet 16 Rewind: Arizona Wildcats’ greatest upset over No. 1 Kansas in ’97
by Javier Morales on Mar. 24, 2011, under SportsQuick observations:
>> Mike Bibby ran this club better than any point guard that wore the Arizona uniform. Some argue he was the team’s MVP during Arizona’s historic run. Hard to debate that.
>> Michael Dickerson was as impressive defensively as offensively (and he was a deadly shooter). The way he shut down Kansas All-American guard Jacque Vaughn was impressive. Vaughn may still have nightmares about Dickerson.
>> Finally, the all-out hustle by role players A.J. Bramlett, Bennett Davison and Eugene Edgerson is something this year’s Arizona team can learn from.
