Thanks PortlandCatfan for the assist. I fixed a couple of other minor issues. I think this is the most accurate rundown I can come up with. Carlos, the loss of Turner is addition by subtraction, which is difficult to say because I really hope Josiah gets his feet on the ground. He's been through a lot of transitions in his young life in the last two years. In the videos I've seen of McConnell, he plays with a relentless style who prides himself on assists and steals more than points. His teammates will feed off that.

Jay & Co correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe Snowden or Olson ever had a #1 recruiting class and still things didn't go too badly in the Old Pueblo in their time at UA. I think if we give Miller a chance he'll do some real special things here -- and soon -- given the guy's ability to get 'em here and coach 'em up.

With that thought in mind I can't help thinking how Lute's Michael Tait and Steve Kerr situation just might -- might -- be Sean's Josiah Turner and TJ McConnell situation. As some of us know, a little too much Steeeve Kerrr!!! meant a lot less Michael Tait. As in a transferring to Clemson Michael Tait. Kerr? The Cats went to their first Final Four with the self-made, do-everything-right (not always perfectly, mind you, but the right way, with the intent of making his teammates better, always) PG.

The thing is, Coach Mills may not have to wait much longer for his first Final Four. Not if Mayes, Johnson and/or York can bring some consistency, and stability, to the most important position on the court in '12-'13 and probably every year: PG. The ability is there, no doubt. We've all seen what Kentucky's bigs and wings, as young as they were, did this past season. With the Cats' bigs and wings coming together this
next season -- a talented blend of young, limitless skill and seasoned, tested know-how -- why not UA?

It's great to see every new version of this article -- a classic. One typo I noticed, fyi. In the '95 class blurb, it should mention loss to Utah in the Elite 8, not in the Sweet 16. Too shocking and painful to be forgotten.

i feel like recruiting is a sport unto itself. i hope miller stays for the next 15 years. there are only a handful of programs that are better than the UA. And then there's Pitt, miller's alma mater.
