But at the same time, how many times was Arizona in scoring position vs Iowa, and with Scott at the helm, but didn’t score?

The play selection wasn’t the best vs Iowa as it lead to Arizona having to go down field middle to late in the game, which isn’t Scott’s forte.

With Scott’s running and a short to mid range passing game, Scott does much better, until he can develop a sense, a strength for the deep ball.

But Scott’s game then requires the ‘Cats keep it close – really close, maybe even at money time, for lack of a better term.  

But Scott undoubtedly will get his chance again.

My one question: What has Beirne done – or not done – to be relegated to no man’s land on the depth chart? 

You know what might be a nice article for next week? I think the slamming of Matt Scott along with the glory of Foles was a bit unfair.

Matt did resonably well the first two games. But is also looks like Iowa may be a top BCS contender. Foles starts his first game against the 109th worst pass defense in the country. Who is to say Scott would have not faired just as well.

Personally, it looks like Foles is a better QB, but hard to say. Both QBs will be needed down the stretch and I think Scott is getting run over by comparing his performance at Iowa against Foles at OSU.

I would be more concerned about what happened to our defense at OSU than anything on the offense.
