I truly wanted to throw down my best attempt at trash-talk, but all the Iowa fans on here are too polite and amicable! So instead, I’ll just say that I think Clayborn is going to have a field day with the Wildcat’s small-ball offense, and even though I’m pulling hard for the Arizona win, I think Iowa is just too tough of a team.

The student section had a “Green Out” in 2008 in support of Shonn Greene for Heisman recognition.

Poster above observed that Iowa fans wore GREEN in the stands in a game against Penn State in 2008. They did so to celebrate / support Shonn Greene’s candacy for the Hiesman Trophy. He won the Doak Walker Award instead

Games of this type are always intriguing– it could be a very even game, or if one side gets a break, or if the adrenalin flows better on one side, it could be a 20-point spread.

We have to stop Iowa’s run, and be able to run. It’s that simple.

I don’t think so – both teams haven’t been challenged yet and both NEED a tough game in order to improve – win or lose, each will be better if this thing is played well. Simply due to ranking situation, if UA hangs tough then Pac10 certainly doesn’t look bad if there is a loss – same with Iowa – if they play well and avoid stupid mistakes and simply lose because UA played a great game, then yeah – no BCS title game, but I think they’d play better in Big10 and set up a Rose Bowl rematch.

Hawk fans are humble and appreciative of good football. Last year Iowa was 9 and 0 heading into the Northwestern game. I was streaming the game (audio) after the game was over the fans cheered as the hawks as they left the field. They continued continued to cheer for probably20-mins after both teams had cleared the field. It was like they were expecting the team to come back on the field for a encore. Crazy, appreciative fans that will take victory and defeat well as long as both teams play well.
