Anthony Gimino,
To my knowledge nobody does rugby style kicking in the NFL. The Special Teams coach has no knowledge or vision of the next level. He's instructing methods and technique's for small colleges.
If you have a kid displaying professional level ability, why instruct him with minutia. By doing minutia you diminish the focus that a kicker requires, then sportswriters write unfavorable articles on the kid and completely overlook the coach, go figure. Mr. Gimino, you're not guilty of that, of course not... Are you?
Speaking of Special Teams performance last weekend, after the SD Chargers Special Team's performance, sportswriters are suggesting their Special Teams Coach put his house on the market. Hmmm....
In high school Keenyn Crier help lead his Westfield HS team by handling all the kicking duties in the Alamo Dome in the Texas 5-A Div. 1 championship game in 2005, punting, kickoff, and place kicking very well. It will be a homecoming for him.

Who is the Wildcats Kicking Coach?

I maybe wrong but, it seems that the Kicking Coach has a personal vendetta with one of the kids on Special Teams that A. Gimino mention's below, the DE's think he doesn't know what he's doing at the DE position. Would a recruit won't to attend a program where an adult would adopt childish tactics of revenge to counter his inept coaching?
Kickers need an environment to focus and this coach apparently has created an environment that's confrontational. I think one of those 3 kickers is still going to the next level. Tony do you know which one?

Wasn't Stoops forced to take this coach a couple of years ago?

Who should have a job, should be applied to the Special Teams Coach position.
* * *
Wow… Keenyn Crier is really out of favor for the Wildcats. He already has lost his pooch punting duties, and now linebacker Derek Earls punts. He has been practicing rugby style punts for weeks at the end of practice, and it is something he has done in the past. He hits his first punt 34 yards with no return.
Anybody who saw Crier as a freshman would have sworn he would be an All-American some day … now he might not even have a job.

We have to 'regroup'?? Is that what they said in Nagasaki?? Coach Stoopid should step down immediately or at least let every fan berate him for his failings like he does to his players. This loss is too much to bear, I am crossing to the dark side and transferring to ASU, I have been thinking about it and the time is at hand - ASU has their entire team back, get used to heartbreak wildcats!!!

Here we talk about and lament the fact that Wise, Horne, Fogg, Lavender, Jacobson - let's see, anyone else? - have had 3 or 4 coaches in their careers at Arizona. Heck, I'll betcha anything guys like Crier, Bonano and Zendejas wish they had one. Just one coach to speak of, let alone 3 or 4. Don't think they'd know what to do with themselves if they had the luxury of a coach in their midst. But 2, 3 or 4?...See, just when you think you have it bad, someone you know has it worse.

Who is the Kicking Coach?
Alex Zendejas may have more than what he has shown. A decent kicking coach would have gotten better production. A good kicking coach would have maintained Keenyn Crier's freshman level of competition or improved. Kicking is knowing more than technique.

Who is the Kicking Coach?
Didn't they just make a sorely needed Special Teams change? They had a slumping Place Kicker help a former Freshman & Sophomore All America Punter to kick the almighty pooch kick. Pooched right to the line of scrimmage for ZERO yards. Kicking has become too important to allow anyone to coach it. How much money has been left on the table due to inept coaching of kickers?

Worst display of Special Teams this season from one team in a long, long time. Maybe ever. For anyone who ever doubted the importance of the kicking
game -- whether it's a punt netting 0-8 yards, a KO going out of bounds and giving the other team the ball at their own 40 or rickashaying not one but two PATs off a D-Lineman -- the same D-Lineman -- here's our proof. And it's painful.
