Foles is the man! I am very glad to hear that he plans to come back. I really don’t get the problem that NFL scouts have with spread QBs. They have to make reads just like any other QB and there are similar offenses to a college spread in the NFL. I think Foles could end up being a very good NFL QB one day.

I’ll tell you what…if Criner returns the receiving corp is going to be fantastic. Put Criner and Buckner alongside a host of other talented receivers…wow! If the 2 lines can grow up quickly (big if) this team will be better next year. Special teams has got to be a major focus. I’d argue 3 losses (total of 6 pts) could have flipped to wins had we gotten average special teams play. Obviously Oregon and Stanford significantly better.

Foles has had his fair share of criticism come his way from this small corner of the world. I’ll say this, the kid has a good head on his shoulders. Admits his shortcomings, works like the dickens (someone say Coach Tomey?…) to get better, puts team in front of self. Nick is Arizona good, and that’s good enough for me. We’re darn lucky to have him, and so are his teammates, not to mention the coaches. Mr and Mrs. Foles did well. Man, how can Coach Stoops go wrong? Foles, Scott and Byrne…all very capable, all well-adjusted, all accepting of the team concept. QB Coach Scelfo nothing less than a God-send with 3 gifts in his hands, and more to come…
