I feel better under the radar at this point. At least until we have a credible - non-Williams 5 rotation. The my great pleasure, the guards are playing at a higher level at this point (including the wings actually) which has taken this team up a notch.

The good thing about college hoops is that the "East Coast Bias" doesn't mean squat when the calendar turns to March. In all fairness, however, the Cats haven't had a marquee win this year, and they may not get one before tourney time unless UCLA and Washington can squeeze into the rankings. That's a major factor in the perceived lack of respect. This team was clearly not yet ready for prime time when they faced BYU and Kansas. Still, you have to like where the Cats are sitting right now. If they can keep themselves in the running for at least a 5 or 6 seed, they might be able to make some noise.

I'd be interested to know who those national reporters were, although many of us could probably guess. Still, I say forget national respect. It ain't gonna happen until the UA takes out one of the east coast media's darlings. And wouldn't Tourney time be a great tine to do just that?

Right now I'm more concerned with a team up I-10 who somewhow, someway still thinks they own the UA because their man Sendek happened to beat one sad excuse for a coach, O'Neill, and one of their own, Pennell. But when it comes to Coach Miller, the record says something entirely different: 2 losses, 1 win for Herb. And before all of this, Coach Olson hadn't lost to Herb Sendek, Rob Evans, Bill Frieder, Bob Weinhauer or Steve Patterson (did I miss anyone?). That's domination in my book. And that's a classic lack of respect for THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA Wildcats by someone no not from New York, and not from Bristol, Connecticutt, but from right here in the state of Arizona: Wildcat Country.
