He’s over-signing for one. Looks like the Bruins could be about 10 scholarships over the 85 limit this summer. Could be plenty of transfers.

What the deuce is up with UCLA? How the hell is Jim Mora landing a top 10 recruiting class? The guy’s never coached in college and was a bust in the NFL as a head coach. He has to be cheating.

It “looks” underwhelming, but a lot of the rankings are garbage anyways. Also, Florida players are in general a LOT faster than players that we used to recruit from the West Coast and Texas. This looks to be a very good recruiting class even thought it looks very low key. I am excited about the QB’s that we recruited (Kern & Allen) and we already have 2 very very good RB’s in our stables with Nwoko, Butler, Jenkins & Carey coming back next year with some playing experience. And let’s not forget Scott who is a VERY good QB. RichRod’s system is going to fit like a glove to our players, even on the Defense where we got a lot of talent coming in next year at LB, and since we only need 3 Defensive Linemen in the 3-3-5 Stack we are going be able to have a good defense next year. I see a 7-8 win season for next year.

No doubt, the staff used existing recruiting contacts to help bring in some kids from Florida and the northeast. I would expect that to change next year as they build relationships in California, etc. Already, they made a big push into the Phoenix area — which was mostly a disappointing recruiting base under Stoops.

Very underwhelming. The top recruits were Stoops and Kish kids. Although we won’t see RR get his chance until next year.

I remain skeptical as to this hire. Bringing a football coach with roots in eastern football may not have been a good move.
