Yes you are Sooooooo right about the onsides kick. God bless him. Bonano was brilliant on that one. But the last kick was also sooooo close that kick he should have made it. Rich Rod in the after game comments mentioned that he had made many other kicks before the game. Can you spell "choke'. Unless the ball was muffed in some way.we need to get a grip on this fast. The spirits of all of our prior kickers are with you Rich R. get 'er done!
Have Max Zendejas give a clinic to Bonano.

No we didnt, thank god. (like last year!) But we missed a field goal in the last seconds of the 4th quarter to win the game. We even set the play up by positioning the ball so the kicker could center the ball AND on the 5 yard line. That miss sent it to overtime. We were just plain lucky.
Just think.... overtime against Toledo Rockets. (They were a good team coming into the game, even better in my eyes now). So what happens in the rest of the season. We couldnt even put them away with over 600 yds in offense. What do we do against OSU and beyond.
Like I stated in the earlier post Rich Rod had better have a great kicker. Please.

At least we won't have All-Everything, Mr. Vontage Burfict, to worry about anymore. Whew! Don't know about you guys, but that thought alone brings a little more sharpness, a smidgen more thickness to my Cardinal and Navy.

And you know, coaches who work up a sweat touting their team tend to not hang around long enough to feel their own sweat dry, any way. They usually, somehow end up in the studio somewhere before their time. Or, they end up in limbo between forced retirement and gleefully fleecing yet another program. Some, if you can imagine, find themselves trying desperately to put the pieces of a once promising career back together by becoming a rather nondesript assistant somewhere, and at times even in the NFL.

What do Neuheisel, Erickson and Koetter have to do with Coach Rodriguez? you ask. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And thank goodness for that! I like my Coach just the way he is.

Arizona knows all it needs to know about Oklahoma St., Stanford (BTW, The Tree 20, San Jose St. 17; SJSU driving, 1:30 to play, in Palo Alto...) and Washington. Nothing new there. Meanwhile, these same guys don't know the first thing about the 2012 Cats, their new system, revolutionary Coach Rich & Co. Says here that a hungry, loud, take-no-prisoner Wildcat Stadium is the great equalizer in two of these three games. In the end, I do believe, all three games are, that's right, Ws for the U of A.

Thanks - btw a mutual friend Geoff Grammer is now at or going to ABQ Journal as the Lobo beat writer. We worked together in Santa Fe and i used to work at TNI when he was in Tucson - small world - I hope it works out for him - Lobo sports is dismal (besides one sport only - bball) Football college or high school barely exists in NM.

Nobody would care what grade I gave it. I have never seen any of these kids play, other than QB Anu Solomon last week on ESPN2. My main takeaway from recruiting (not factoring in the star ratings) is that these coaches have been recruiting to unique offensive and defensive systems for years and have a great idea of what they're looking for. Neither scheme necessarily requires "prototypes" -- the kind of kids that get high star ratings.
