Whatever happened to the Insight Bowl, for example? Or that bowl in Hawaii — the Aloha (?) Bowl, for instance? I know the Insight is “only” in Phoenix, which granted isn’t much of a reward for a successful season, especially if you’re from Tucson, but teams like Virginia Tech, W. Virginia, Oklahoma St. and Iowa seem to be mainstays in that game. Now I’m sure their respective conferencs have some kind of tie-in, but I’m just sayin’…
