Arizona still factors in potential Alamo Bowl decision
Friday, December 3rd, 2010
The Alamo Bowl might have no choice but to take a 7-5 Arizona team that has lost four games in a row.
If Oregon beats Oregon State on Saturday, it will go to the BCS national championship game. Stanford, if it holds its No. 4 position in the BCS standings, is locked into a BCS game, too.
And if Washington State beats visiting Washington on Saturday, the Huskies finish with five victories and won’t be bowl eligible … leaving Arizona as the only other eligible team from the Pac-10.
So, the Alamo Bowl, which has the next pick of Pac-10 teams after the BCS, would have to take the Wildcats.
But what if Washington wins?
