Former Arizona Wildcats receiver Dan Buckner, who was among the last round of camp cuts from the Arizona Cardinals, was signed to the team’s practice squad Tuesday.
Buckner spent two seasons with UA after his transfer from Texas. He was the team’s second-leading receiver last season, making 61 catches for 773 yards and five touchdowns.
Another former UA receiver, David Douglas, recently had a workout with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he would be reunited with quarterback Nick Foles, his college teammate and good friends. There has been no signing as of yet, however.
Douglas, an undrafted free agent after the 2011 season, has spent time with the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who cut him at the end of camp.
