Hey Brad: I hear that there’s an institution up near Florence with a football team that goes by the name of ‘The ‘Birds what has an opening that just might fit Dean’s talents. They wear nifty black and white stripped uniforms. He’d be a natural!

Dean apparently brandished the weapon at a restaraunt that led to the arrest and may have been involved in an incident that lead him to carry the gun in the first place for protection.
Dean might have been able to work to get the suspension lifted before the end of the year, but he could not take the risk and decided to tranfer to a smaller school where he can play right away.

Not really understanding why Dean kicked off the team, if he has been. Suspended and no chance of coming back? Seems like a misdemeanor offense that is very minor – concealed carry is even going to be legal in a few months or less…
