Get Grounded!

Grounding is an important first step in any energy work.  We are all part of the earth and staying connected to the earth’s energies can help us stay focused, stable and balanced.  It’s a good idea to ground yourself before an energy healing session or just to balance your energies.

Here are few simple techniques to get you started:

1. Stand barefoot on the grass or dirt and imagine that you are drawing in the earth’s energy through your feet, up into your body.  Breathe deeply.

2.  Meditate while holding a stone or crystal and try to connect with and feel its subtle energy.

3.  Hug a tree!  That’s right, take a nature walk and touch the trees and plant life around you.

4.  Visualization is a very powerful tool to help you ground yourself.  Remember – “Energy Follows Thought”.  Visualize that you are sprouting roots out of the bottoms of your feet.  “See” the roots working into the soil and growing deep into the earth.  Imagine that you are soaking up the earth’s energy through your roots and up into your body.

You’re grounded! (but you can still go out and play)

Have you ever healed anything serious? No offense, just curious. An interesting line of reasoning…seems relaxing if nothing else.

I’ve had great success with my own issues, both emotional and physical. I overcame 9 months of deep grief after my mother’s passing in a 20 minute energy healing session.

I had a severe shoulder problem (winging scapula). I couldn’t raise my arm, and when I stretched out my arm, my shoulder blade stuck out. I went to a chiropractor and physical therapy, after which I was told that it would likely never improve and that I would have to learn to live with it. So I tried EFT, a technique I had recently learned, and after 15 minutes or so my shoulder was normal. I could raise my arm, had no pain, and my shoulder blade stayed put! That was 3 years ago and my shoulder problem has not had a recurrence. I was thrilled and began learning all I could about energy healing.

Since then I’ve become a practitioner and I’ve had the opportunity to help some amazing people overcome a variety of issues, such as chemical sensitivity, liver pain, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, and even a lower golf score! I’m fascinated by performance enhancement using energy work, so I enjoy working with athletes and business professionals.

Fascinating, I’ve always wondered why there was no ‘yin and yang’ in medicine. You find it everywhere else in nature. Keep it up. You’ve made a regular reader out of me.

Fascinating indeed! I’m a bit of a nature lover myself and I love how you put it here :) keep up the good job!
