Pelosi: Democrats are coalescing behind Hillary for 2016by Dee Dee Garcia Blase on Jun. 27, 2013, under 2014 elections, 2016 Presidential Elections, chicano vote, Hispanic Latino Vote, Legal Immigration Reform
Just in: Rep. Nancy Pelosi: “Dems are coalescing behind Hillary for 2016.”
This is going to make it harder for the GOP come 2016. I predict another Bush v. Clinton year and many Mexican-American / Latino voters tend to remember and like what Bill Clinton accomplished with the economy.
We expect the United States Senate to pass the bipartisan Gang of Eight
Legal Immigration Reform Bill, but if the House GOP prevents fixing the broken immigration system — there will be severe complications for their Party to remain alive with our growing Mexican-American / Latin population. Approximately 500,000 new Latin coming of age voters are eligible to vote every year moving forward.
It is up to Speaker of the House John Boehner to dictate the direction of his own party.
If Boehner does not abandon the Hastert Rule with regard to Immigration Reform, his Party will be punished that is likened to what occurred with the Democrats when the southern Dixiecrats voted against the Civil Rights Act.
We are well aware that if the Gang of Eight immigration reform does pass, the immigrants affected cannot vote for at least 13 years. That said, there are many of us who were born here in our Nation and have been here for several generations before the landing of the Mayflower who will vote in future elections to come.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, on USA TODAY’s “Capital Download,” says Democrats are coalescing behind Hillary Clinton as the presidential nominee in 2016 — and predicts she’d win.
WASHINGTON — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday the Democratic Party was coalescing behind Hillary Rodham Clinton as its presidential nominee for 2016, and she urged the former secretary of State to get in the race.
In an interview on USA TODAY’s “Capital Download,” Pelosi stopped just short of formally endorsing Clinton.
“I’m not making endorsements right now, because I don’t think that’s appropriate,” she demurred. “But I am gauging, I’m gauging. I’m encouraging people to think about it, so in case she asks us, we have something to say to her.” FULL STORY>>>
