UMC to hold 3 blood drives next week

University Medical Center will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday through Wednesday

The blood drive will be at the following locations and times:

● UMC cafeteria, 1501 N. Campbell Ave., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

● UMC business office, 575 E. River Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids before donating blood and to ingest iron-rich foods, such as cream of wheat, broccoli, liver, spinach and prune juice. To make an appointment, call the UMC Bloodline at 694-7853 or the American Red Cross at 917-2820.

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
