7 area firms honored for human resource efforts

Seven local employers were honored at the Fifth Annual Workplace Excellence Awards last month. The awards recognize human resource practices.

The Grand Prize winners were: Carondelet Health Network, large company; Misys Tucson, medium company; and Clifton Gunderson LLP, small company;

The Best Practice awards were given to Raytheon, University Physicians Healthcare and Ventana Medical Systems.

The 2007 Bocker-Meza Innovation Award winner, which recognizes a small company with no official human resources department, was Oro Dental Medicine.

The awards were presented by Tucson Newspapers in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson and the Arizona Society for Human Resource Management State Council.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
