The Tucson Sidewinders capped a big comeback with two runs in the top of the ninth to beat Salt Lake 10-8 on Friday.
The Bees had led 6-0 in the second inning.
In the ninth, Chris Carter followed three straight singles by hitting an RBI single to left that put Tucson ahead 9-8. Alex Romero later scored on a sacrifice fly by Jamie D’Antona.
Tucson’s Mike Schultz picked up his second save of the season. Brandon Medders (5-2) earned the win for the Sidewinders.
Alberto Callaspo hit a two-run homer in the fifth to help Tucson narrow the lead to 6-4. He finished with three hits and three runs scored but left the game in the ninth after injuring his leg.
The ‘Winders (67-58) scored four times in the seventh, capped by Romero’s second three-run homer in as many nights. Tucson remains six games behind Sacramento in the Pacific Coast League South Division.
