Crosby, Stills & Nash event to aid food bank

Crosby, Stills & Nash has partnered with World Hunger Year to help put food on the shelves of the Community Food Bank in Tucson with a June 23 concert.

WHY, a nonprofit group based in New York, fights against hunger and poverty worldwide.

Fans of the musical group are asked to bring a can of nonperishable food to the concert and drop it off at the food bank’s display as they enter the show.

The most-needed items are canned meats, canned vegetables, canned soups, cereal, peanut butter, canned fruit and canned tomato products.

The concert is at 8 p.m. June 23 at the Anselmo Valencia Amphitheatre, 5655 W. Valencia Road. Doors open at 7.

For additional information about the Community Food Bank food drive, call Jack Parris at 622-0525 Ext. 215.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
