CINDY McCAIN addressed the GOP convention wearing three-carat diamond earrings and a $20,000 outfit. You knew there’d be a backlash against Sarah Palin, but everyone thought it would come from the Democrats.

SARAH PALIN asked for privacy after it was revealed that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant. There’s no privacy at this level. Until her boyfriend in Alaska was named as the father, the National Enquirer was looking everywhere for a picture of John Edwards wearing a sealskin coat.

PRESIDENT BUSH agreed to pull U.S. troops out of Iraqi cities by June and he agreed to withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq in three years. He also kept cool in the Georgia crisis and he stopped threatening Iran. President Bush could win the Nobel Peace Prize just for locking his vice president in the basement three months ago.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
