Tucson Originals to serve kids Christmas Eve Feast

Nearly two dozen member restaurants are providing food for Tucson Originals’ second annual Christmas Eve Feast for Kids Lunch.

It’s from noon-2 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 1625 S. Third Ave., a Tucson Originals news release read.

Last year, more than 150 children and their families were served. Organizers expect representatives of the 22 participating restaurants to serve more than 300 this year. The event includes an appearance by Santa and Marilyn Monroe and Elvis impersonators.

Sites to drop off new unwrapped toys for the event are:

Tanque Verde Road • Kingfisher Bar & Grill, 2564 E. Grant Road • Bluefin Seafood Bistro, 7053 N. Oracle Road • Eclectic Café, 7053 E. Tanque Verde • Ric’s Café, 5605 E. River Road, Suite 121 • and Papagayo Mexican Restaurant, 4717 E. Sunrise Drive.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
