The U.S. Forest Service is offering young, would-be rangers a chance to learn and earn a junior ranger certificate.
The Forest Service’s Santa Catalina Ranger District is offering kindergartners through sixth graders, and their parents, one-hour programs, every Saturday from Jan. 17 through March, said Ranger Heidi Schewel.
Upon completion of the program, children will be awarded a junior ranger certificate.
Programs will be at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Road. For more information, including cost, call 749-8700.
