Clear streets, watch for radar van scanning for speeders

Traffic was clear in the metro area at 7:27 a.m. Thursday. Public safety agencies reported no crashes, malfunctioning traffic lights or road hazards to slow motorists on their way to work.

But, the Tucson police radar van and its crew will be watching for speeders and a ticket definitely could slow you down.

RADAR VAN

The police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to the following places and times:

• In the 3700 block of North Stone Avenue near Prince Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• In the construction zone on East Grant Road near North Craycroft Road, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• On South Tucson Boulevard near East 18th Street near Robison Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• On East Broadway near Santa Rita Avenue, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
