Cholla High’s Exceptional Education kitchen wins makeover

Cholla High Magnet School’s Exceptional Education kitchen has won a $40,000 to $60,000 makeover in a Tucson Remodel for Charity event, Tucson Unified School District officials said.

The makeover at the school, 2001 W. Starr Pass Blvd., will be done April 17-19, said Exceptional Education teacher Susan Crowe.

Crowe and another Exceptional Education teacher, Scott Kloefkorn, nominated the kitchen, which is used in a life-skills program “to help mildly cognitively impaired students develop independent skills for living after they finish high school,” Crowe said.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
