Three crashes mar morning commute; radar van starting near Duffy Elementary

The morning commute was off to a rocky start by shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday as Tucson police investigated two traffic collisions in the city and the Sheriff’s Department investigated a third in the unincorporated county.

They were:

• In the 4100 block of East Valencia Road, east of Alvernon Way, a collision with undetermined injuries, reported to sheriff’s deputies at 7:08 a.m.

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• In the 5100 block of East Fifth Street near Duffy Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• West Grant Road between North Oracle Road and Interstate 10, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• North La Cholla Boulevard and West 36th Street near Henry Oyama Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
