Radar van starting on West Side, moving east

Tucson police were investigating two collisions and a road hazard by 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, but traffic in outlying areas was clear.

The city traffic problems were:

• At East Broadway and North Swan Road an unspecified traffic hazard reported to police at 7:09 a.m.

• At North 13th Avenue and West Grant Road a noninjury wreck, reported at 6:22 a.m.

• In the 8700 block of East Tanque Verde Road a noninjury hit-and-run, reported at 2:47 a.m.

RADAR VAN

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be posted to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• On North Grande Avenue near West St. Mary’s Road near Menlo Park Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• On North Silverbell Road near West Ironwood Hill Drive, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• On East Stella Road near South Clinton Avenue near Reynolds Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• On East 22nd Street between South Camino Seco and South Pantano Road, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
